Main Street Opera Singers, New World Productions, and the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago are proud to present a live concert celebrating Miguel de Cervantes’s monumental contributions to literature, his far-reaching influence in the world of music, and the artistic legacy of Spain. Musical selections include Dale Wasserman’s cherished American musical “Man of La Mancha”, Jacques Offenbach’s obscure yet charming operetta “Les Bavards”, and the ethereally beautiful “Las Ausencias de Dulcinea” by Joaquin Rodrigo, among many others. The concert feature talented emerging Chicago artists.
